These mesmerizing traditional boats are being used to cross the river in Bangladesh. Day by day the number of these types of boats are going to vanish due to many reasons. One small wooden boat can carry at least 20 people at a time. A boatman can earn 800 to 1000 taka in a day (around 10 USD) ferrying the passengers. Basically, these types are only available in Shitalakkha and Buriganga Rivers. This river is flowing just through the district dividing the town.
